Playing With Paper Of A Different Kind .....

After much moaning at my hubby to do some decorating. I made my mind up to start and nearly finish stripping the wallpaper in Thomas' room. As he is now 4 years old nearly 5 years old and still has his I love my bear baby paper on the walls. So with wall paper steam stripper in hand I set to work.

Thomas' room is my old office I had forgotten i'd painted it this colour before we changed it into a nursery.

This is the only bit I have to strip and im just waiting for my dad to come and take the rad off for me .

 

Well done me two days to strip and move stuff around. So I have been playing with paper but nothing crafty !

 

I finally finished my VW Camper sampler its off to the framers tomorrow not bad for 4 weeks work .

 

 

Hey ho im off to make a start on my ironing as today as the sun is out in the midlands so making the most of my washing line and giving the tumble dryer a rest.

1st October 2012

Septemeber was a month of 1st for me and my small family -
1st blog post, 1st day at big boy school, 1st reading book brought home by my little man.
1st not trying to please everyone all of the time.1st time my mom not working full time as she's taking retirement.

So heres everything that happened to us in photos

I took this the first morning Thomas started school 6am.I think its the only dry day we had in september !

 

My 1st go at growing pumpkins.Hopefully they will be better next year.

 

Attended the scarecrow weekend at belbroughton.

 

This was took just to remind me how wet a month september 2012 was. Will it ever stop raining

 

Oh well it's the 1st of October less than 12 weeks to christmas .

Scarecrow Weekend 2012

Sunday 29th September 2012
" Going on  a scarecrow hunt"

Another week done and dust with and what a week it has been. From Monday
we seemed to have had a lot of the wet stuff  (RAIN) and always starting just as you leave the house to go on the school run.

The view of my poor crafty shed been rained on.

This week has past me in a blur with school run, going to work ,food shopping,house work. I have found little time to do any crafting. All I have got done is a little seing which I haven't taken an up to date photo of sorry x

Yestarday we went for  a ride out as the sun had got his hat on and was shinning bright. We ended up at the scarecrow weekend at Belbroughton.

Such a lot of work goes into these scarecrows, we had a wonder around the village spotting all the different from team GB to the Queen and other members of the Royal Family.

We then move on to some of the stalls where Thomas discovered Hook a duck and the bouncy castle slide I can believe how high it was and it never bothered him. He has grown up so quick .

Good afternoon from me on this rainy,cold Autumn Sunday afternoon. I can't believe it's Monday again tomorrow blink and it will be christmas soon!!!!

This past week has been full of challenges 1st my little man coped really well with his first week of full time school. Next week he should be bring back his 1st reading book ( there maybe a layout in that). My baby has really grown into a proper big boy I'm so proud of him.

So in between the school the run and going to work . I've been tidying the garden up ready for the on set of Autumn.

And yet some of my tubs are looking better than they have all summer. I have also been trying to grow punkins trying been the word. This morning I havested my one and only pumpkin . Dont think there is much chance of craving this but hey ho not bad for my first go.

As I can't seem to find my motivation with scrapbook at the moment .I will show you what I have been working on for my crafty friend Yvonne. It a cross stitch kit called VW Fun the design is by Julia Rigby and supplied by Bothy Threads. Yvonne loves VW Camper Vans we spotted this kit at a craft show but she didn't want to stitch it so I offered and the rest is history.

Sunday 16th September 2012

The Next Chapter Of Life

This past week has gone so quick Thomas' first week at "big school" has been wonderful he's loved every minute of it so far but he's only been doing afternoons to settle in. Tomorrow he starts full time which will be a big step for me and him as i've never had to do the school run before.

Looks like early mornings are to become my new best friends ! It  will seems strange without him at home but knowing he's happy means i'm happy and calm.

Today I've been to crop at solihull. I took my cross stitch sewing to do as I can't seem to find my mojo to do scrapbooking at the moment. I really need to start making my christmas cards otherwise no one will be getting one this year! All in all got a lot of sewing done had a great catch up with my craft buddies  drank a lot of tea and dunked a few biscuits.

Hope everone has has a good weekend and looking forward for what ever this week has in store for me .
